The Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency, Ministry of Climate Change & Environmental Coordination invites applications from Pakistani Nationals to fill the following posts in the PSDP Project – Pakistan Bio-Safety Cleaning House for GMOs Regulation on purely Contract basis for the period of one year extendable by another year/completion of the project.

All positions are based in Islamabad and on contract basis on open merit. Eligibility Criteria for Jobs at Pakistan Environmental Protection Agency, Ministry of Climate Change Government of Pakistan is as giving against each position.

• National Project Manager
  • Ph. D / M. Phil or equivalent in Agriculture Biotechnology/ Biochemistry / Molecular Biology/ Microbiology/ Genetic Engineering Biological Sciences / Agriculture, with 12 years experience in BS 17 or above in Govt / Semi Government/ reputable Organization. Possession of good interpersonal/ leadership skills and ability of tracking the progress of the project.
• Deputy Director BCH (Admin & Finance)
  • Second Class or Grade C Masters in Public/ Business Admin, Project Management, Agriculture, Economics, M. Com or other relevant discipline recognized by HEC with 7 years’ experience in BS 17 or above in Govt / Semi Government/ reputable Organization.
• Deputy Director BCH (Technical)
  • M. Phil / M.Sc in Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Microbiology / Genetic Engineering/ Biological Sciences / Agriculture with 5 years experience in BS 17 or above in Govt. / Semi Govt/ Reputable Organization or experience in biotechnology / Biosafety related research, Knowledge of GMOs & Biosafety.
• Assistant Director BCH (Admin & Finance)
  • Second Class or Grade C, M.Sc in Public Business Administration/ Project Management / Economics / M.Com or other relevant discipline. 02 years experience in Govt. / Semi Government / Reputable Organization and experience in Biotechnology / Biosafety related job preferred.
• Assistant Director BCH (Technical)
  • M. Phil / M.Sc in Agri Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/Microbiology / Genetic Engineering/ Biological Sciences / Genetic Engineering /Agriculture with 2 years experience in Govt. / Semi Govt/ Reputable Organization or experience in biotechnology / Biosafety related research, Knowledge of GMOs & Biosafety.
• Law officer
  • Graduate (LLB), Good understanding of legal and policy issues in Government sector , 05 years experience in Govt. / Semi Govt/ Reputable Organization.
• Research Assistant
  • M.Sc / BS Biological Sciences , Agriculture, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Environmental Biotechnology with experience in Biotechnology / biosafety, agriculture related job.
• Field Coordinator
  • M.Sc / BS Biological Sciences , Agriculture, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Environmental Biotechnology with practical knowledge of Biosafety, experience in Biotechnology / biosafety, and genetic engineering lab procedures.
• IT Officer
  • Masters Degree in IT / Computer Sciences experience of Web designing, Networking with 2 years experience in Govt./ Semi Govt / Reputable Organization, hands on experience of IT tasks.
• Inspector / Field Officer
  • Second class BS degree in Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Biological sciences, Agriculture with practical knowledge of Biosafety , biotechnology and Genetic engineering, understanding of Lab techniques
• Accountant
  • Degree in Commerce, B. Com, Finance & Banking with 2 years experience related to accounts/ Finance.
• Stenotypes
  • Graduate B.A/ B.Sc, 880/40 shorthand / Typing speed per minute. Computer knowledge and data entry /upload skill is must. Urdu typing skill would be given extra weightage.
• Field Assistant
  • BS Biological Sciences, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, Microbiology, or relevant. Knowledge of research techniques ,IT skills, data retrieval, collection and dissemination.
• Data Entry Operators
  • F. Sc , ICS or equivalent, Knowledge of research techniques, IT skills, data retrieval, collection and dissemination.
• Electrician
  • Matriculation, Electrician Course, Sound Knowledge of electricity work, Operation related with electricity.
• Dispatch Rider
  • Matric, able to ride a bike
• Driver
  • Matriculation and LTV Driving License with three years experience
• Office Boy
  • Matric, extra qualifications / Skills will be preferred.
• Gate Keeper / Chowkidar
  • Matric, extra qualifications / Skills will be preferred.
• Gardener (Mali)
  • Middle Pass and experienced, expert in gardening.
• Age Limit: It is different for each post (18-35 years) and for higher scale posts age limit is up to 50 years.
