Finance Ministry No Funds release for General Elections 2024
ECP Election Commission of Pakistan sources are telling that funds are not released by Ministry of Finance. A few days ago ECP Chief told that they are ahead of Schedule for upcoming GEs 2024 in February.
There are total 42 billions which are reserved for elections but only 10 billions are released so far. ECP have to conduct trainings of staff in all over Pakistan but there could be funds defeciency.
Election Commission approaches the ministry of finance but got no reply on this issue. Now ECP will write letter to Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar ul haq Kakar and then PM will ask the secretary finance about this issue.

If govt fails to provide the required funds to ECP then election schedule can be disturbed. But as per the directions of Supreme Court, President and ECP the elections will be held on 8 February 2024.
Pakistani nation is waiting for the elections which are already delayed from its due date which was in November 2023. On the other hand IMF has not included Pakistan in his schedule. If IMF do not provide next instalment then it can be tough for Finance ministry to provide fund to ECP.
